- Electronic shutter: needs a 6V battery to fire.
- Check for shutter squeal and sticky light seals.
- Fire every shutter speed with the back open: 1 second should sound clearly longer than 1/2, and the fast speeds should look different.
- Check the light seals around the back door and the mirror foam: they turn sticky or crumble with age (about £20 to replace).
