Before you buy a used 6
- Check the rangefinder and the collapsing mount moves smoothly.
- Check the rangefinder patch is bright and lines up at infinity and vertically.
- Check the shutter at every speed and the light seals around the back.
- Pay through eBay. eBay's Money Back Guarantee covers a camera that doesn't work as described, but only if you pay through eBay. Our used film camera checklist has the tests to do the day it arrives.
Questions buyers ask
How much is a used 6 worth?
On eBay UK today a working not stated, with lens Mamiya 6 typically costs £2,655 delivered, with most between £2,322 and £2,832. These are asking prices, so many sell for a little less, especially with Best Offer.
Is it cheaper to buy a 6 from Japan?
19 of the 24 Mamiya 6 listings on eBay UK right now are posted from Japan. The cheapest tested one from Japan is £576 including about 20% import VAT, against £649 for the cheapest tested one from a UK seller.
